1942年5月，敵酋崗村寧次組織數(shù)萬日偽軍對我冀中平原展開大掃蕩。為掩護(hù)主力撤退，閻志剛（令欣 飾）帶人留下堅(jiān)持斗爭。遭敵夾擊后分散突圍，閻在戰(zhàn)斗中受傷，被抗屬李大娘（陳立中 飾）和兒媳鳳霞（李雪紅 飾）救回家中養(yǎng)傷。敵聯(lián)隊(duì)長（嚴(yán)寄洲 飾）得知村里藏著八路，叫囂要活捉閻志剛。養(yǎng)好傷后閻志剛滋生大意，在一次執(zhí)行任務(wù)時(shí)被特務(wù)跟蹤，給我方造成損失，閻自責(zé)不已。冀中人民發(fā)明的地道戰(zhàn)，讓狂妄的敵人吃盡了苦頭。一次，敵人糾結(jié)兵力到劉家營村搶糧，配合縣大隊(duì)的戰(zhàn)斗任務(wù)交給了閻志剛，他和區(qū)小隊(duì)、縣大隊(duì)分三面包圍了搶糧的敵人，并將計(jì)就計(jì)撥掉了敵人的據(jù)點(diǎn)......
